|
Brooklyn has had a rough go at life. She came from a bad situation, traveled across the country and then lost one of her babies shortly after arriving at her new foster family. But despite all that after some time, a little bit of treat bribery and her babies falling in love with the foster crew she has come around to the mom of the family and warming to the other members. It did take over a month of me (foster mom) being with her all day every day and just giving her her space but petting her while in her kennel for her to love me as much as I love her. She is my little shadow and as soon as I sit down I am her best friend and her favorite place to be is on my lap. She is still a little unsure of fast movements but has never nipped or even acted like she thinks about it. I truly believe she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. I have NEVER seen a more perfect, loving, selfless momma dog! I am happy to know she will now just be able to relax and not have to put her puppies before her. When it comes to treat time or dinner time she makes sure her babies have their treats and their share of food before she jumps in. Brooklyn is in a house with other dogs that she does GREAT with! She also is surrounded by many cats that she is slowly becoming used to. She has never hurt one but is very curious as to what they are. Sweet Brooklyn is just an amazing dog that will need a little extra love and patience but is so worth it!

Welcome to Mountain Mama Pyrs and Pups. Mountain Mama Pyrs, is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill rescue group of dedicated foster homes. Founded in June of 2023 by a few caring people, our sole purpose is to give abandoned, abused and unwanted pets another chance at finding loving, permanent homes. Although we focus on LGD breeds due to the overwhelming number abandoned here in Utah and the legislature that deems them disposable, we take any urgent dog in need. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome to loving families. Mountain Mamas is funded by adoption fees, donations, fundraising events and tributes. All donations are tax deductible.
