Oh yes, meet Barkley—the sweetest, most lovable Catahoula Mix you’ll ever meet! This big, goofy boy is a double merle Catahoula, a result of improper breeding, but don't worry, Barkley has been thoroughly checked and cleared by the vet. The only thing we found? He’s deaf, but that sure doesn’t slow him down one bit! Barkley is playful, sweet, and incredibly mellow—he’s the perfect snuggle buddy who just loves to hang out close by your side.

At just 5 months old, he’s already 30 pounds and growing, and we expect him to be a big, sturdy guy weighing at least 70 pounds when he’s all grown up. He’s already had 3 sets of shots, a rabies vaccine, his microchip, and has been neutered—he’s all ready for his forever home!

Much like Clifford the Big Red Dog, Barkley just wants to be your loyal, loving companion. He’s the kind of dog who would love nothing more than to follow you from room to room, crashing at your feet whenever he can. While he may not hear a thing, his amazing sense of smell more than makes up for it—he’ll always know when you're cooking in the kitchen!

Barkley is great with other dogs and gets along well with kids—he’s going to make an incredible family dog. He loves being outside and running around, so a fenced yard is a must for this playful pup. But don’t be fooled by his active moments—unlike many Catahoulas, Barkley is calm, rarely jumps, and just wants to be near you. He’s working hard on potty training and is eager to please, so with a patient owner who’s ready to keep up with training through body language and movement, he’s going to continue growing into the best pup ever!
