Meet Scout. He’a a male Heeler mix around 6mths old. This guy had a rough start but you wouldn’t know it now! Scout is very much still a puppy and has that puppy energy. He enjoys running around outside and would do well in a home with a fenced in back yard. He is doing great with walking on a leash and is quickly picking up commands. He comes to his name and is a huge cuddle bug. He is slowly starting to get the hang of fetch but mostly likes to chase the ball and lay down with it haha. Scout is up to date on his shots and is already neutered! He does great with other dogs and is good with cats! His foster family has a dog and two cats and he is doing awesome with them! Unsure of how he is around kids but would probably do better in a home with older children. We are working on him only getting attention when he is sitting but he still gets excited and has his moments of jumping up. He is doing well on potty training and crate training. He goes to the door when he needs to go potty and will whine in his kennel if he has to go! He still has some accidents in the kennel but those are very limited. Scout has a huge personality and would be an amazing companion. He would be great for an active individual or family.

Welcome to Mountain Mama Pyrs and Pups. Mountain Mama Pyrs, is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill rescue group of dedicated foster homes. Founded in June of 2023 by a few caring people, our sole purpose is to give abandoned, abused and unwanted pets another chance at finding loving, permanent homes. Although we focus on LGD breeds due to the overwhelming number abandoned here in Utah and the legislature that deems them disposable, we take any urgent dog in need. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome to loving families. Mountain Mamas is funded by adoption fees, donations, fundraising events and tributes. All donations are tax deductible.
