Mountain Mama Pyrs and Pups is staffed by a small group of volunteers whose purpose is rescue, rehabilitation and placement of Great Pyrenees and mixes. We also help with any urgent dogs that need medical attention or behavioral help
We are located in the beautiful mountains of Utah but do support surrounding states as well as Missouri We do not have a facility but are foster based. Our fosters are the backbone of our rescue.
Our goal is to inform and educate the public and breeders to help prevent overbreeding and keep dogs out of shelters SPAY AND NEUTER is the answer!
Welcome to Mountain Mama Pyrs and Pups. Mountain Mama Pyrs, is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill rescue group of dedicated foster homes. Founded in June of 2023 by a few caring people, our sole purpose is to give abandoned, abused and unwanted pets another chance at finding loving, permanent homes. Although we focus on LGD breeds due to the overwhelming number abandoned here in Utah and the legislature that deems them disposable, we take any urgent dog in need. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome to loving families. Mountain Mamas is funded by adoption fees, donations, fundraising events and tributes. All donations are tax deductible.
