i! I’m Milo, a 2-year-old short-haired Chihuahua mix from New Mexico. Don’t let my small size fool you—I'm full of personality and love! I weigh about 9 lbs so I am the perfect size to hang out on your lap or next to you in the recliner.
I get along well with both kids and other dogs, though I prefer eating from my own bowl and not sharing. I’m perfectly fine eating near other dogs, though! My special tricks include following you everywhere and dancing on my back legs when treats are involved.
I’d love a home with a doggy door, which I picked up quickly according to my foster mom. I’m crate trained and enjoy curling up on soft blankets. My foster mom lets me sleep on the bed with her but I will sleep on the floor as long as I can stay warm. I like to go outside but not for very long in the winter. I’m independent and not much of a snuggler, but I will give you my whole heart. I’ll need some patience and extra training to help me adjust to my new home. I love giving kisses and just want my person to love me back!
I have had my shots, am neutered and have a microchip so I will never get lost!

Welcome to Mountain Mama Pyrs and Pups. Mountain Mama Pyrs, is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill rescue group of dedicated foster homes. Founded in June of 2023 by a few caring people, our sole purpose is to give abandoned, abused and unwanted pets another chance at finding loving, permanent homes. Although we focus on LGD breeds due to the overwhelming number abandoned here in Utah and the legislature that deems them disposable, we take any urgent dog in need. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome to loving families. Mountain Mamas is funded by adoption fees, donations, fundraising events and tributes. All donations are tax deductible.
