This sweet girl was pulled from a high kill shelter down on the Navajo reservation in Kayenta, Arizona on the day they were set to be euthanized. She lovingly nursed and cared for her babies and now that they are weaned, it is time for her to find her forever home. She is good with other dogs with a slow and gentle introduction. She can sometimes get a little nervous around food due to her resource limitations from where she came from.  She has warmed up nicely to the three large breed dogs in her foster home.  She is great with people, loves car rides and attention and is doing great on her leash training.

Welcome to Mountain Mama Pyrs and Pups. Mountain Mama Pyrs, is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill rescue group of dedicated foster homes. Founded in June of 2023 by a few caring people, our sole purpose is to give abandoned, abused and unwanted pets another chance at finding loving, permanent homes. Although we focus on LGD breeds due to the overwhelming number abandoned here in Utah and the legislature that deems them disposable, we take any urgent dog in need. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome to loving families. Mountain Mamas is funded by adoption fees, donations, fundraising events and tributes. All donations are tax deductible.
