Hi there, I’m Winston – your playful, loving 2-year-old long-haired Chi mix! I weigh 18 pounds of pure cuddles and sweetness, just waiting to share all my love with you.
I’m potty trained with a doggy door, but I might need a little help learning the ropes at my new home. I’m super eager to please, and I’m so thankful my foster mama is helping me with my training. One of my favorite things is to run, so I’ll need a safe yard with a secure fence to keep me safe, especially near the front door!
A few months ago, I had a little scuffle with another dog, and while no one really knows what happened, I do feel more comfortable being the only dog in the home. When I have to share food, treats, or toys, I can get a little nervous and might growl, but it’s just because I want to make sure there’s enough love to go around. Don’t worry, though – I’ve never been aggressive towards people or kiddos, just other dogs when it comes to my stuff! After my surgery, I’ve healed up nicely, and my vet has given me the all-clear to find my forever home.
I absolutely LOVE to cuddle – I’ll happily snuggle right into your lap or curl up in your bed (though if I have a soft blanket, I’m content on the floor too). My favorite toys are the ones that crinkle – I’ve got a whole bunch to bring with me!
What I really need is a family who’ll enjoy getting me some exercise while also showering me with cuddles and kisses. I’m great with kids who understand that I’m a little protective of my things, and I can’t wait to be your loyal, loving companion!

Welcome to Mountain Mama Pyrs and Pups. Mountain Mama Pyrs, is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill rescue group of dedicated foster homes. Founded in June of 2023 by a few caring people, our sole purpose is to give abandoned, abused and unwanted pets another chance at finding loving, permanent homes. Although we focus on LGD breeds due to the overwhelming number abandoned here in Utah and the legislature that deems them disposable, we take any urgent dog in need. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome to loving families. Mountain Mamas is funded by adoption fees, donations, fundraising events and tributes. All donations are tax deductible.
