Hi, my name is Gilbert! You may have heard of me in the news recently. I was one of the 152 dogs that were saved from the hoarding situation in Ogden. My Foster family has been taking good care of me. They have taught me what "safe" feels like. I am ready to meet my forever family! I am looking for a loving family who will be patient, kind and understand that I am trying to learn what it is like to live in this big, new world. My foster family is teaching me how to be a dog! I was afraid to touch the grass at first, but I am doing great with potty training. And going for a walk does not seem quite so scary now. Sometimes, I do cry when I smell the other dogs around. I miss my brothers, sisters and friends. Even though we all needed and are grateful to be rescued, we did love each other. I would really love it if you have another kind friend for me. Bonus if they let me cuddle them to feel warm, it's what I miss the most. I can be skittish at first, but when I warm up to you; I am a sweet, calm and quiet boy. I do not like to feel lonely. At home, I would like to feel included in what you are doing, even if it's watching you do housework. When you are finished, I am eagerly waiting to climb into your lap for a snuggle.(Sorry if I snore!) Welcome to Mountain Mama Pyrs and Pups. Mountain Mama Pyrs, is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill rescue group of dedicated foster homes. Founded in June of 2023 by a few caring people, our sole purpose is to give abandoned, abused and unwanted pets another chance at finding loving, permanent homes. Although we focus on LGD breeds due to the overwhelming number abandoned here in Utah and the legislature that deems them disposable, we take any urgent dog in need. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome to loving families. Mountain Mamas is funded by adoption fees, donations, fundraising events and tributes. All donations are tax deductible.
